This cruise features a conference with American and Russian nurse presenters. Nurses from the U.S. and Russia will be able to dialogue with each other and have the opportunity to initiate various kinds of nursing exchanges.
Russian nurses come from many different cities throughout Russia and for some of them this becomes their first professional contact with Americans. Many of the Russian nurses that you will meet will speak English well. For those who are unable to speak English, we will have translators to assist with communication.
Introducing the Cruise Director and Coordinator: Sean McGivern, an expert and well-experienced Russian specialist, serves as the director and coordinator of your visit to Russia to participate in this conference on the Russian waterways. Building on his previous work with many nursing groups, he is responsible for organizing your Russian experience that serves as the Conference venue.
Sean originated the US-Russian Nursing Conference Cruises and has organized the Russian visit for all six of the previously offered US-Russian Nursing Conference Cruises. Sean serves as the Russian specialist for the Conference Cruise and works closely with the two nursing conference coordinators to make sure there is an integration of the conference and seeing Russia so each contributes to your learning about Russia, its people, culture, nursing and health care delivery.
Sean provides superb expertise and knowledge of the Russian culture, and his many friends and colleagues in both countries places him in a unique position for building solid transcultural connections. He invites you to join him and enjoy this unique trip through the Russian Waterways.
