Conference Design

Sightseeing and daily conference sessions are integral to the conference design.  The program includes site visits to educational and clinical sites.  The clinical interests of the US participants are considered in selecting and planning the conference site visits.  To aid participant communication and conversations, some Russian nurses speak English and expert interpreters assist conference participants during all aspects of the Conference Cruise.

You are invited to be part of the Conference Program.  The program offers three kinds of submissions for the purposes of:

  • Sharing current information, research or best practices, applicable to both US and Russian nursing practice, education and health care delivery

  • Increasing professional understanding between Russia and US nurses as to history, culture, education, and healthcare delivery
  • Providing participants an opportunity to do a presentation or lead a discussion session

We invite you to submit an abstract for paper or poster presentation or a plan for a focused discussion group to help promote learning during this conference.  Submit on a topic that fits your interest and expertise.  Consider developing your topic as a poster or a plan for a focused discussion group, the learning activities that maximize participant interaction and sharing of perspectives.  For all participants, but especially our Russian colleagues, the poster session and the focused discussion group sessions are the most positively received and highly evaluated.  Those who do paper presentations provide information to create a more common understanding of key nursing concepts, research findings and methodologies, or nursing education trends.
