Conference Goals


The US-Russian Nursing Conference Cruise goals are to encourage:

  • Learning about Russian culture and perspectives on nursing and health care delivery
  • Building collegial relationships and friendships between US and Russian nurses
  • Fostering intercultural professional understanding
  • Creating the basis for post conference exchanges and collaborations

To achieve these goals the conference cruise offers a variety of learning activities. These learning activities promote and stimulate interaction for the exchange of information and sharing of US and Russian perspectives on cultural and professional issues.

The Conference learning activities are:

  • Paper presentations
  • Poster presentations
  • Focused Discussion groups
  • grant purposal development for Russian nurses
