How to Register for the 7th US-Russian Nursing Conference Cruise
August 1 – 15, 2009

We welcome your registration for the 2009 US-Russian Nursing Conference Cruise.  In registering for the Conference Cruise, please note the following:

  1. Complete the Conference and Cruise Registration Form for your self and each person who may be accompanying you on this Russian waterways Conference Cruise.

  2. Submission of a completed registration form and deposit check is required to hold a space on the cruise boat so you will be able to participate in the Conference Cruise.  Please note the Registration Timeline.

  3. If you are submitting material for the Conference Cruise program, your submission will not be reviewed without receipt of a completed registration form and deposit check by the required due date of November 3, 2008.

  4. Your deposit and final payment must be in the form of a check or money order; credit card payments are not accepted.

  5. A visa is required to enter Russia and costs (as of January 7, 2008) $100 per person.  Information regarding the application process for a Russian Visa will be sent to you after receipt of your deposit.

  6. Smoking is not allowed on Finnair, the Conference Airline, any buses used for transportation or during the conference.  On the cruise boat, smoking is only allowed on the deck.

  7. Visits to historical and clinical sites require a great amount of walking and stair climbing, often on uneven surfaces and without railings or other aids.  Many clinical, educational and historical sites do not have elevators and some require walking 5 – 7 flights of stairs.  Thus, those participating in the group need to be able to manage and navigate such walking requirements to be part of the group and enjoy the scheduled activities.

  8. Participants must report any disability that may hinder walking or require special attention and care.  Please be aware that outside the US, the Americans with Disabilities Act is not applicable and facilities for disabled individuals are limited.  Most transportation services, including the tour buses are not equipped with wheelchair ramps.  The Conference Cruise cannot provide individual assistance to a participant for walking, dining, getting on and of the buses and other vehicles or other personal needs.  A qualified and physically able companion must accompany participants who need such assistance, and must assume total responsibility for the participant’s well-being.  Motorized scooters are unsuitable for Conference Cruise activities and locations.  River cruise boats do not have elevators.  Cabin doors and restrooms are not wide enough to allow access by standard wheelchairs.
